The Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering program consists of a minimum of 53 credit hours beyond the bachelor's degree plus a dissertation.

    • Total Credits: A minimum of 53 semester hours of graduate coursework is required, including directed study for doctoral qualification.
    • Transfer Credits: Students with a Master's degree from another institution can transfer up to 24 credits, while those with a Master's from Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà University can transfer 30 credits, leaving additional credits to be completed at Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà University.
    • Concentrations: Coursework covers various concentrations, including high-speed communications and networking, signal and image processing, robotics and artificial intelligence, and information security.
  2. Comprehensive Examination:
    • After completing the required coursework, students must pass a comprehensive examination. This exam assesses the student's comprehensive knowledge in their chosen areas of study.
  3. Dissertation:
    • Students must submit and present a dissertation proposal for approval by the department and the Vice Provost for Graduate Studies.
    • The dissertation involves original research and culminates in a written dissertation and an oral defense before a committee.
  4. Additional Requirements:
    • Doctoral Qualifying Examination: Students must pass a written doctoral qualifying examination as part of their advancement to candidacy.
    • Research: The program emphasizes significant research contributions, with students working closely with faculty advisors.
